![]() One example of the behavior I have seen is if I open a windows explorer window one one user session 10+ instances of the process for the different user sessions will suddenly start using around 3% CPU (I assume maxing out a thread). The most notable culprits are Windows Explorer, Internet Explorer and Outlook as well as the occasional windows service. Task manager shows that a dozen or more processes are responsible for the utilization suddenly jumping from 1-3%. This mostly eliminated the problem, and the capping out only lasts for 5-10 seconds instead of constantly hitting 100% utilization in task manager for 10 minutes or more. I saw the CPU was running at 100% so I doubled the CPU to start troubleshooting. Starting about a month ago we started getting reports of the server running slow. 32 GB ram, never goes over 70% ram usage.Normal cpu use before the issue was 1-3% of a total 32 Cores, 2.4 (AMD EPYC 7351P is the hardware).Webroot is AV but we've removed it, reinstalled it, removed it again with no effect.35 users using a small proprietary app, office apps and some IE. ![]() We are having a CPU issue on an RDS server for a client.
